A Cadiz man was charged with fleeing from law enforcement after a report of a burglary in progress in the area of Babb Lane on Wednesday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say they were notified of a burglary in progress in the county, with someone trying to make entry into a home, and located 24-year-old Braulio Hernandez in the area.
He reportedly fled on foot when officers got out with him, and a law enforcement K9 was used to stop Hernandez.

Police say Hernandez was taken into custody and then taken to the hospital for minor injuries. The Christian County Sheriff’s Office says no one was charged in connection with the burglary because the suspect didn’t make entry into the home.

He is charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police and resisting arrest.  According to the Christian County jail, after Hernandez was processed, a federal hold was put on him.
