Kentucky FSA Director Discusses Disaster Assistance

Kentucky Farm Service Agency Director David Wayne says signup is now underway for three programs that will help compensate farmers for losses from disaster in previous years.

Wayne says the Milk Loss Program has set aside 1.65 million dollars to help compensate eligible dairy farmers.

Wayne says the on farm stored commodity loss program has five million dollars available.

He says the largest program is stage two of the Supplemental Disaster Relief Program.

Kentucky FSA Director David Wayne says the second stage of the Supplemental Disaster Relief Program helps cover shallow losses.

He says the second part to phase two deals with quality loss.
