
A Hopkinsville man has been charged after an incident on Hazel Street in Hopkinsville on Friday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called for shots fired and found a man who claimed he was hit by a vehicle driven by 30-year-old Jvontae Thornton.
Police say Thornton claimed the man had shot at him and then stepped in front of his vehicle, but he didn’t hit him.
City cameras reportedly showed the man walking and Thornton swerving off the road and hitting him. The report does not list any evidence of a shot being fired.
Thornton was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment. The man suffered knee injuries from the incident.
