Hopkinsville celebrated the holiday season Saturday night with its annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting in downtown.

This year’s parade theme was “Christmas Vacation,” bringing lit floats, marching bands, and community groups down Main Street before the lighting of the city’s Christmas tree at Founders Square.

Mayor Knight thanked the community for turning out and celebrating the season together.

Jacob Gibson with Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation says the community turnout made the chilly night worth it.
