Funeral Services for 85 year old Alene Wharton Cunningham Pitt of Cadiz will be held Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at King’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Trigg Memory Acres. Visitation will be on Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 11:00 – 1:00 at King’s Funeral Home.

Alene Wharton Cunningham Pitt was born in Cadiz, KY on February 11, 1940 to Rubin Wharton and Charlene Fuqua Wharton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her First Husband, Carl Cunningham; Second Husband, Curtis Pitt and one brother, Rueben Wharton, Jr.
She died on Friday, December 12, 2025 at her home.
Alene was a member of the Bloomfield Missionary Baptist Church. She was a Retired Nurse from Trigg County Hospital after 52 years of service. In her spare time she loved shopping and taking others shopping, family time and playing spades online. She loved to laugh and have a good time. A special thank you to her long time caregivers Marguerite Wharton, Mae Bacon, Wilma Redd, Rose Jones, Georgia Catlett and especially her son, Reginald Cunningham.
