Funeral Services for 76-year-old Lester “L.D.” Robertson of Cadiz will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at King’s Funeral Home with Rev. Aldin Parker officiating and a Eulogy by Kathy Meeks Rogers. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with military honors. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. with masonic services at 7:00 p.m. at King’s Funeral Home.

Lester “L.D.” Robertson was born in Hopkinsville, KY, on November 22, 1949, to Lester Deloy Robertson and Virginia Burchett Robertson.
He died on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at his home.
L.D. was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, a US Navy veteran, and a mason. He was a retired police officer with over 40 years of service. During his time as a police officer, he worked in Hopkinsville, Pembroke, Crofton, Elkton, Dawson Springs, Oak Grove, and Princeton. He served as the Chief of Police in Princeton and Crofton. He received a medal for his courageous life-saving actions, including saving a young lady’s life after she fell over a bridge. He served as an officer for the International Police, having served in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kosovo. At the same time, serving as a police officer, he also owned and operated Robertson Electric.
