A Clarksville man and woman were charged with possession of drugs and wanton endangerment on Stateline Road Tuesday night.

Oak Grove Police say they were advised that there were individuals smoking meth inside a closed business with children inside.

During the investigation, police say 27-year-old Devon Bumpus gave consent to search the building and located two children inside, along with suspected meth and drug paraphernalia that were found in his truck, which was parked inside.

He reportedly claimed not to have the keys, but a woman inside the building, 24-year-old Logan Evitts, claimed the drugs were hers, and he then gave the key to officers.

Police say a shotgun was also found inside the building, and Evitts is a convicted felon. Evitts was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of meth, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Bumpus was also arrested and charged with obstructing governmental operations, first-degree wanton endangerment, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
