A Hopkinsville man was charged with trafficking drugs after being arrested on active warrants on Braden Street on Tuesday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they went to the area to locate 47-year-old Tremayne Welch, who had active warrants for first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault.
During the arrest, deputies say he had 8 bags of suspected meth totaling 12 grams, marijuana, and a glass pipe on him, along with 114 grams of synthetic marijuana and two digital scales in his vehicle.
Welch is charged with trafficking in synthetic drugs, trafficking meth, and possession of marijuana.
