Shelia Dixon Faughn, age 72, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, in Hopkinsville.
She was born on October 19, 1953, in Cadiz, Kentucky, to Marvin Glen Dixon and Joyce Sumner Dixon.
Shelia graduated from Trigg County High School in 1972. Throughout her career, she worked in customer service at JC Penney, at Flynn Enterprises, and at Walmart Pharmacy.
Shelia was a member of Casky Baptist Church. To her family, she was known affectionately as Granny, Annie, and Gee Gee. She had a passion for music and enjoyed taking long drives down country roads, basking in the songs that filled her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin & Joyce Dixon, her beloved husband, James Faughn, and her sister, Sandy Dixon.
She is survived by her daughters, Alison Faughn Cherry (Gerald) of Hopkinsville and Heather Faughn (Josh Ingwersen) of Huntsville, Alabama; three grandchildren, Kelsey Littlefield (Austin Hester), Ryann Faughn Edgell (Logan), and Ryker Faughn; five great-grandchildren, Brentlee, Jameson, Hutson & Knoxlee Edgell, and Wyatt Hester; her brother, Marvin Glen "Tinker" Dixon of Cadiz, and her sister, Myra "Suzy" Dixon Hrudicka (Mark) of Cadiz.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, 4-8 PM, at Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main Street in Cadiz.
Burial will be at a later date in Ebenezer Cemetery in Hopkinsville.
