Bro. Johnny Wayne Noel, Sr., age 73, of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025, at Christian Heights Nursing and Rehab in Pembroke, KY of natural causes. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Carroll officiating and burial to follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Cadiz, KY. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The family has entrusted Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home to handle the arrangements.
Mr. Noel was born August 29, 1952, in Hopkinsville, KY, the son of the late John Noel Jr. and Nellie Mae Greenfield Noel. Johnny was a former employee of E.O. Pepper Electric in Hopkinsville after graduating High School. Bro. Johnny later in 1986 surrendered to preach and became a pastor in 1987. He was a pastor of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, previously of Owensboro, KY and relocated to Hopkinsville, KY, him and his wife Connie Hyams the love of his life and the most beautiful woman he knew for over 52 years. He was a proud Kentucky Colonel and loved coaching his son’s little league baseball teams. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Connie Beth Hyams Noel in 2024 and his brother, Billy Wayne Noel.
Survivors include his son, Johnny Wayne “Jay” Noel Jr. of Hopkinsville, KY; his daughter, Tara Estes of Owensboro, KY; his brother, Alan Wayne Noel of Hopkinsville, KY; his sisters, Brenda Cameron and Belinda (Robert) McCain, both of Hopkinsville, KY; and one grandchild, Zane Noel.
