Hopkinsville Community College is helping students facing food insecurity this holiday season. The school held its annual “Great Gobble Giveaway” on Thursday, providing food boxes on both the Hopkinsville and Fort Campbell campuses.
Rena Young, Vice President of Marketing and Advancement says the event is a long-running effort to support students in need.
Young says the college is focused on supporting students beyond the classroom.
The school partners with Feeding America and has recently expanded its resources.
The on-campus pantry is available throughout the week.
The college plans to continue expanding its food assistance programs as demand persists.
