James T. "Bama" Rogers, age 74, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee.
He was born on June 28, 1951, in Rainsville, Alabama, to J.T. and Myra Rogers, who preceded him in death..
James, affectionately known as "Bama" to his family and friends, retired from Ford Motor Company in Detroit after 30 years of service.
He enjoyed mowing his yard, loved hunting and fishing, and was an avid sports fan, particularly of University of Kentucky basketball. Most of all, James loved being "Poppa", sharing a special bond with his grandsons.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty McAllister Rogers, on May 29, 2021; his stepdaughter, Vicki Weeks; and two brothers.
James is survived by his grandsons, Donald Weeks (Jamie), Ronnie Weeks (Katie), and Jackie Boshell (Gloria), all of Cadiz; a stepson, Tony Boshell of Cadiz; three sisters, Fay Holkem, Angie McKaig, and Estileta Pennington, all of Rainsville, AL; several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no services at this time.
