Smitty Joe P'Pool, age 72, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee.
He was born on June 9, 1953, in Hopkinsville, the son of E.L. P'Pool and Christine Sumner P'Pool.
A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Smitty served his country with honor and dedication. He was retired and had most recently worked as a Pizza Hut delivery driver on post at Fort Campbell.
Smitty attended Greater Cumberland Baptist Church in Hopkinsville. He loved riding motorcycles, listening to classic rock music, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Smitty is survived by his brothers, Ted P'Pool (Paulette) of Hopkinsville and Jerry "Spider" P'Pool (Melba) of Maryville, Tennessee, his sister, ReDonda Stewart (Steve) of Hopkinsville, and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2025. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 1:00 PM, with burial to follow in Robertson Hite Cemetery in Cadiz.
