Russell Fain Calhoun, age 54, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, at his home.
He was born on October 25, 1971, in Murray, Kentucky, to Harold Calhoun and Donna Thomas Calhoun.
Russ was a 1989 graduate of Christian Fellowship High School in Marshall County and was a dedicated employee at Brazeway in Hopkinsville, where he made many friends. His love for music was unparalleled; he was an incredibly talented musician who played by ear and was self-taught on many instruments, including the piano and guitar. Over the years, he shared his love of music by performing with various local bands, bringing joy to many through his gifted artistry.
Russ attended Grace Ministries in Hopkinsville, where he served as a musician, contributing his talents to the church family that he held dear. He enjoyed playing golf and fishing. He had a playful spirit, a zest for life, and a deep love for his family.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Angela Quinn Perry, in 2021.
Russ is survived by his loving parents, Harold and Donna Calhoun of Cadiz; his nephew, Dillan Stewart (Kaity) of Tampa, Florida; his niece, Autumn Stewart (Conner Oates) of Cadiz; and his beloved great-niece, Maggie Oates, who lit up his life.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, 3-5 PM, at Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main Street in Cadiz.
