Sherry Lynn Mimmis, 53, of Hopkinsville, KY died at 6:47 a.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY.
Services will be held at a later date. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations is assisting with the arrangements.
A native of Hopkinsville, KY she was born June 17, 1972 the daughter of the late Bobby Ray Morris and Paula Faye Bell Gamble. She was a Homemaker. She enjoyed being in the mountains and on the beach.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother: Bobby Ray Morris, Jr.
Survivors include her husband: Brian Leon Mimmis; and her son: Jonathan Edward Burrus of Earlington, KY; and her daughters: Katelin (Jordan) Moore and Sasha Ebert all of Hopkinsville, KY; and her step-brother: Greg (Sharon) Pryor of Hopkinsville, KY; and her step-sister: Cindy (Curt) Swenglish of Uniontown, PA; and her step-mother: Bette Morris of Hopkinsville, KY; and her grandchildren: Arishawna Richards, Ava Brielle Matlock, Nevaeh Lynn Burrus and Jonathan Edward Burrus, Jr.
