A Clarksville man was charged with wanton endangerment of a police officer and DUI during a traffic stop on Hopkinsville Road in Trigg County Sunday morning.

Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Cristian Huerta Vicente after he was found going the wrong way on Hopkinsville Road towards two deputies’ vehicles.

Huerta Vicente and his two passengers reportedly appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, and open alcohol containers were seen in the vehicle.

Deputies say Huerta Vicente appeared to have vomit and blood on his shorts, along with slurred speech and bloodshot eyes.

He reportedly stated he had consumed about 10 beers.

Huerta Vicente was arrested and charged with DUI, reckless driving, failure to wear seat belts, too many passengers in a vehicle, and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer.
