The crew at Akridge Farm Supply in Fredonia is ready to serve the community with a variety of products and services ranging from feed to apples, deer hunting supplies, seed, and other products and services.
WPKY News and Ag Director Alan Watts made a stop at Akridge Farm Supply on October 8 to celebrate National 4-H Week and highlight some of the services they offer to the community.
Shane says they have always have a large supply of apples in the fall and offer a wide variety of feed for deer hunters.
William says they now is a great time to start thinking about feeding livestock for the fall and winter season, with a variety of feed and supplement available.
Gary Holland says the reputation of Akridge Farm Supply is built around service.
Holland says they are proud to work with 4-H and FFA programs in Caldwell County and often times employ young workers at the business.
Akridge Farm Supply was founded in 1933 when Thomas Ruble (T.R.) & his wife Rosalie Akridge opened up on Main Street in Fredonia, KY. In 1959 their only son, Dean joined the business. Following Dean’s arrival, the store relocated to “the old cheese factory” building on Wyatt Street which is now its present location.
