A Scotts Hill, Tennessee, woman was charged with trafficking drugs after a request to check the welfare on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way Saturday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they received a call to check the welfare of 33-year-old Emily Huff, who was possibly passed out in a vehicle, and after talking with her, she advised that she had pulled over due to being pregnant.
After a field sobriety test, deputies say a yellow powder substance suspected to be fentanyl was located in the vehicle along with a glass pipe with suspected meth residue, and other drug paraphernalia.
She was reportedly taken to the hospital before jail on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, trafficking fentanyl, operating a vehicle with an expired operator’s license, DUI, and no registration plates.
