A traffic stop led to several felony charges for an adult and a juvenile on Sunday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to stop a vehicle that was driving on the sidewalk and going 50 mph in downtown Hopkinsville.

The driver, who is a juvenile, fled, attempting to hit law enforcement several times before going the wrong way on Interstate 169 towards another vehicle.

Police say the driver and his adult passenger, 22-year-old Tyriq Huntspon of Owensboro, were captured after the driver pulled into Riverside Cemetery and they fled on foot, but were located by law enforcement and K9 Ares.

Hopkinsville EMS was called to check on the driver and Huntspon after they were located. The Christian County Sheriff’s Office helped throughout the pursuit.
