Peggy Blankenship Oliver, age 83, of Evansville, IN, formerly of Cadiz, KY, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.
Born on September 15, 1942, in West Plains, MO, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Blankenship and Reta Teague Blankenship.
Peggy began her career as a beautician before becoming the Director of Purchasing at Trigg County Hospital, where she dedicated many years of service. She also owned and operated the Kountry Kitchen restaurant in Cadiz, and later operated a couple of restaurants in Indiana upon her return.
Peggy found great joy in painting and crafting, particularly in ceramics, which she not only enjoyed as a hobby but also as a supplier for others who shared her enthusiasm. She had an unwavering love for her family and her beloved dog, Kissy, who was always by her side.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Ed Oliver, and her sister, Carolyn Horner.
She is survived by her children, Jolie Oliver of Evansville, IN and Jason Oliver (Elizabeth) of Vincennes, IN; her grandsons, Alexander Mason Oliver (Ali), Austin Michael Oliver (Alisha), and Christian Anthony Oliver (Hannah); her great-grandchildren, Bo & Jene Oliver, Mason & Riley Oliver, and Ethan Hendricks; her sisters, Regina Blankenship of West Plains, MO and Barbara Jean McGrew (Gary) of McKenzie, TN; her sister-in-law, Rita McGill of Evansville, IN, and her nieces, Courtney and Kynlee.
Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Princeton, KY.
