Deleted: A man was charged Tuesday afternoon after a wreck on Carter Road in Oak Grove seriously injured a woman on May 19th.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say on May 19th, a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Kayden Berrios hydroplaned, skidding approximately 309 feet before overturning three times. When law enforcement arrived, he reportedly claimed he was the only person in the vehicle, and he didn’t want a report.

The passenger airbag was reportedly found to be deployed, and the father of a woman who was in the vehicle later called law enforcement. Deputies say after the crash, Berrios told the woman to have a friend get her due to violating a Tennessee protective order.

She reportedly lost consciousness but was taken to Tennova Healthcare by a friend, then taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center due to three spinal fractures.

Berrios was arrested on Tuesday and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and no insurance.
