Former Trigg County Elementary School art teacher Chelsey Redd has taken on a new role in the local extension office.
In a recent Cadiz Rotary Club meeting, Redd explained that she taught for 13 years, but decided it was time for a change. Although, she didn’t want to fully leave behind teaching. When the position for Family and Consumer Sciences Agent at Trigg County Extension opened, she was encouraged to apply.
Redd said she has been heavily involved from the first day on the job.
Redd talked about what is involved in the FCS Agent position.
She explained how her role differs from other Trigg County Extension workers.
In addition, Redd talked about an FCS program being funded by a Cadiz Rotary Grant.
The Trigg County Extension Office’s Family and Consumer Science program strives to be involved with the community through workshops like floral arranging, baking, and more.
