Patsy Jean Trotter Brown was born on October 8, 1951. She was the daughter of the late Garnett Trotter and Mary Helen Pool Trotter.
Patsy graduated from Christian County High School in 1969 and then from Murray State University with a degree in Recreation. After graduation, she worked at Jenny Wiley State Park in Prestonsburg, KY before returning to Hopkinsville. Upon her return, she took the position of Recreation Director at the Hopkinsville Recreation Department. She later opened and ran The Social Butterfly, a very successful women’s clothing store in Hopkinsville. At its closing, she retired to her family farm near Pennyrile Forest State Park where she began to raise her beloved goats. She lived a very simple and happy life on the farm loving her goats.
Patsy was preceded in death by her loving parents and her husband, Jeffrey Brown.
A private ceremony will be held in her honor. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Hopkinsville is assisting with the arrangements.
