On Tuesday morning, Todd County Sheriff Tracy White pled guilty in Logan County District Court to an amended charge stemming from his May 2024 criminal case.
Larue/Hart County District Judge Teresa McMahan-Miller heard the case in which White pled guilty to a charge of harassment (no physical contact), while the charge of menacing was deferred for up to two years.
With the amended charge, White is ordered to pay a $250 fine and serve eight hours of community service, requested by Special Prosecutor Ohio County Attorney Justin Keown.
White was indicted in December 2024 by the Logan County Grand Jury concerning an incident caught on video and shared to YouTube earlier in the year.
In the indictment, Sheriff White was charged with harassment and menacing. The indictment stated the incident occurred on May 3, 2024, at the residence of Adam Weatherford.
As Your WEKT News Edge previously reported, the alleged incident, shared via the YouTube channel LackLuster, purportedly shows Sheriff White on Weatherford’s property arguing about an incident involving children, including his own. In the video, Sheriff White is not in uniform, and the video claims he was intoxicated. The video also alleged that Sheriff White hit the victim.
During Tuesday morning’s court appearance, White apologized to the Weatherford family.
White was represented by Mac Johns and retired Judge Tyler Gill.
More on this story will be released by WEKT after additional court documents are received from the Logan County District Court.
