Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Jonathan Shell made a stop in Todd County at Chester Farms on Thursday to discuss local/regional issues producers are facing.
About 45 farmers, local ag interests, school representatives and FFA students gathered to talk thru topics ranging from new end uses for ag products, expanding E15 nationwide, ag education and efforts to partner with economic development interests to better plan for industrial growth were all covered
Following a farm to fork meal, Commissioner Shell answered questions from the group and shared his outlook on where he sees the state of agriculture in the year ahead.
