William Larry Huddleston, age 75, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025, at his home in Cadiz.
He was born on December 9, 1949, in Trigg County, to Hubert Huddleston and Annie Bush Huddleston.
Larry graduated from Trigg County High School in 1967, the same class as his beloved wife, Sherrie Turner Huddleston. The two were married on June 29, 1968, at Golden Pond Baptist Church, sharing nearly 57 years of marriage until her passing on April 29, 2025.
A dedicated farmer, Larry worked the land as a generational farmer of cattle and hay. He also had a successful career as a tractor and equipment repairman for over 35 years. He worked at Planters Hardware for 15 years and owned and operated his own shop, Huddleston Repair, where he served the needs of many local farmers.
Larry was a member of Cerulean Baptist Church. His hands were always busy, and he had a knack for fixing things. He loved hunting and fishing, but his greatest joy came from the time spent with his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherrie, his parents, and brothers-in-law: Jesse P'Pool, Donnie Hampton, and Milton Turner.
He is survived by his two daughters, Lynn Farmer (Chris) and Pam Huddleston, both of Hopkinsville; his grandchildren, Kendall Farmer (Heather), Devan Farmer (Marah), and Summer Utzig; his great-grandchildren, Greyson, Bennett, Willow, and Gabe Farmer, Chandler Utzig, and Nataleigh Toliver; his three sisters, Bonnie P'Pool, Connie Hampton, and Shelia Hampton, along with his sister-in-law, Margaret Turner, all of Cadiz; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz, where the family will receive friends after 4:00 PM on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. Funeral services will be at Goodwin Funeral Home at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 21, 2025, with Bro. Reed Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery.
