The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has announced that a contractor will be implementing a lane restriction on Interstate 24 westbound in Lyon County, starting late Sunday.
State transportation officials say the lane restriction will be between mile markers 45 and 55, with paving set to begin in the right lane at 7:00 a.m. Monday.
Drivers are advised to follow posted signs and arrow boards as traffic shifts into the left lane.
This work is expected to last around four days, depending on the weather.
Remember to slow down and stay alert for workers and equipment close to the road.
Once completed, crews will begin a paving project on U.S. 62 in Lyon County between mile markers 6 and 10, or near the intersection of U.S. 62, KY 93, and KY 295 in Kuttawa to Park Avenue in Eddyville.
