Governor’s Scholars At Edge Media

Governor’s Scholars from Murray State University learned about journalism and media during a stop the Edge Media Group headquarters to visit on the WKDZ Country Club.

The journalism pathway in the Governor’s Scholars Program at Murray State University is being led by Journalism Professor and Graduate Program Director Dr. Bella Ezumah who says the scholars are learning various aspects of the media and journalism industry.

click to download audioStudents are chosen for the Governor’s Scholars program following a nomination from their high school and letters of recommendation from teachers, community leaders, and others. Host campuses are determined competitively every three years. The 2023-2025 session cycle will be hosted by Centre College in Danville, Morehead State University in Morehead, and Murray State University in Murray.
