Memorial Services for 65 year old McCarthy Lewis Barnes of Cadiz will be held Friday, July 11, at 10:00 a.m. at King’s Funeral Home.
Entombment will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with full military honors.
Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Friday at King’s Funeral Home.

He was born in Norfolk, VA on September 17, 1959 to Albert Barnes and Alice Louise Hinton Sutton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Aaron Barnes and two brothers, Johnny Sutton and Victor Barnes.
He passed away Monday, June 30, 2025 at Trigg Co. Hospital.
He attended Crossroads Fellowship Church. He retired from the US Army after 23 years of service having served in Dessert Storm, Dessert Shield, and the Gulf War. He was a Drill Sergeant First Class. After retirement he served ten years as a Department of Defense Contractor. He was an avid shooter and enjoyed going to the Gun Range and he had a love for country music. He will be remembered as a life time provider and protector of his country and family.
