Hopkinsville is turning up the volume on downtown life with the launch of its new Downtown Entertainment District.
The district officially opened June 21st, giving people the chance to walk through downtown with an alcoholic beverage—as long as it’s in the city’s specially marked cup. The initiative is meant to boost local business and create a welcoming, walkable environment.

And there’s more to come—a larger celebration is planned for August 23rd, once summer events settle down.
