A Hopkinsville man was stopped on his bicycle on Bethel Street for not following bicycle safety regulations Tuesday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say 39-year-old Jeffrey Henderson was seen disregarding a stop sign and riding on the wrong side of the road, leading to a traffic stop.
During the stop, he reportedly admitted to having drugs in his backpack and was found to have warrants out of Iowa and Tennessee.
Deputies say meth, a meth pipe, and a hypodermic needle were found in the backpack.
Henderson was arrested and charged with possession of meth, disregarding a stop sign, and failure to comply with bicycle safety regulations.
