An Oak Grove man was charged with theft after a report of a theft in progress on Van Buren Avenue in Oak Grove Saturday.
Oak Grove Police say a neighbor was able to give them a description of the suspect and vehicle in connection to the theft, and after a search of the area, 67-year-old James McNair and the truck were located.
He was reportedly found with stolen items in the bed of the truck and confessed to the theft.
Police say he had been doing surveillance on multiple homes and committing thefts when the properties were unoccupied.
McNair was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking, criminal trespassing, and operating a vehicle on a DUI suspended license.
