Memorial Visitation for 82 year old Virginia Cook of Cadiz will be held Wednesday, June 25, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m. at King’s Funeral Home.
Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY.
Entombment will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.

DAUGHTERS: Gina Cook, Cadiz, KY;
Michelle Cook, Cadiz, KY;
BROTHER: Dr. Delbert Penrod (Barbara), Rochester, IL.
SISTER: Jama LeGrand, Gallatin, TN;
A number of grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren.
She was born in Murphysboro, IL on April 14, 1943 to James Wesley Penrod and Mildred Helen Stearns Penrod. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Wilma Chong, Gladys Miner and Irma Reiman and a grandson and great granddaughter.
She passed away Friday, June 13, 2025 at her home.
Virginia was a homemaker, a member of the Cadiz Baptist Church where she was actively involved in the WMU, Choir, Prayer Room, Mission Trip to Brazil, Simple Blessings Ministries and was involved for 27 years with the Annual Thanksgiving Meal.
