Durrett Avenue Home Destroyed In Fire (w/VIDEO)

A home on Durrett Avenue in Hopkinsville was found fully engulfed in flames Thursday morning.

Hopkinsville Fire Department Battalion Chief Michael Henderson says they were called for a fire in the area and found the home fully engulfed in flames with a gas leak on the exterior of the structure.

No one was found inside the home and it is believed to be vacant.

Henderson says there are no other utilities connected to the home, adding the cause of the fire has not been determined.

The home is located between Kirkpatrick Street and McHenry Street.
