Multiple Rounds of Storms Likely This Week

A couple of rounds of severe weather are expected this week peaking during the evening and nighttime hours on Wednesday.

Justin Gibbs, lead forecaster for the National Weather Service, said the first round of storms should move through overnight between 3:00 and 7:00 in the morning. He said high winds and heavy rain will be the main players in the first round.

Severe thunderstorms are possible again on Wednesday with the timing appearing to be in the afternoon and evening.

Later in the week, a cool-off will happen with lower humidity and spring-like temperatures with highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s.
