Memorial services for 71-year-old Michael Jay Sexton, of Nortonville, will be 10 AM Thursday at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include:
His mother, Laila Russell, of Indiana;
Sons, Silas Sexton (Amanda), of Summerville, South Carolina, and Chester Sexton, of Ashland;
Brother, Rodney Sexton (Laura), of Indiana;
Sister, Krista Upchurch, of Indiana;
Five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He died of natural causes Friday, May 3, 2024, at Jennie Stuart Health.
He was born on February 17, 1953, in New Castle, Indiana, the son of Russell and the late Archie L. Sexton Jr.
He was a retired aviation mechanic for the United States Army where he served in the Gulf War.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Evan Sexton.
