A cat was killed and a dog was saved from a burning home on Prizer Point Road in Trigg County Monday afternoon.
Trigg Lyon firefighters say they were called to the home for a fire and found smoke coming from the home and a fire in the kitchen.
Employees of Prizer Point and firefighters were able to revive a dog that was taken to the vet to be checked out after being pulled from the home.
Firefighters say the home was severely damaged in the fire and a cat was found deceased inside the home.
Trigg Lyon firefighters were assisted by Montgomery Fire Department.
