
A Hopkinsville woman was charged after she reportedly fled from police on West 2nd Street Friday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they stopped 26-year-old Emily Eiland for some traffic violations while she was riding her bike. During the stop, she reportedly would not give officers her name and pulled away from them then fled on foot before being tased and handcuffed.
Police say she was found to have a meth pipe and suspected marijuana in her purse along with several active warrants for failure to appear.
She was arrested and charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police, disregarding a stop sign, resisting arrest, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
