The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville and Christian County will host a special event to commemorate Black History Month.
Director Alissa Keller tells the News Edge the event will take place Saturday, February 18, at the museum on East 9th Street. The event will be a part of the Super Saturday series.
Keller adds they will be joining forces with the local Human Rights Commission to launch a Supper Club in February.
After each Supper Club meeting, those in attendance will get to take home a recipe and spices to help make the dish at home. Keller says each event will also include special snacks from each culture.
The Supper Club will be a part of the Human Rights Commission’s Compassion Club, where those interested will read a book in the other months.
