The explosion occurred Wednesday afternoon as a waste hauling truck from Onsite Environmental was removing a lye solution from a holding tank at Quick Turn Anodizing on Second Street in Guthrie shortly before 1:00. A failed seam in the truck resulted in the explosion that resulted in the end cap being blown more than 100 feet into a vacant lot and another portion of the tank being blown through the building.
The explosion resulted in the death of 34-year old Bryan Bonilla of Clarksville. Stahl and another victim were hospitalized at Vanderbilt Medical Center, with two other people treated at Tennova Medical Center in Clarksville.
