A house on Mount Sharon Road in Todd County was destroyed in a fire Sunday morning.
Todd County Emergency Manager Daniel Smith says firefighters were called to the area around 7 am and found the home partially engulfed in flames.
Sharon Grove Firefighters say they were able to extinguish the fire on the first floor of the home quickly but were unable to access the second story of the home due to the damage to the stairwell.
The owner was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Sharon Grove, Clifty, and Elkton Firefighters were called to the scene to help in extinguishing the fire.
