Drivers licensing teams from the state will be at three state parks next week to bring services directly to tornado survivors who are sheltering there.
The portable, “popup” licensing units can perform licensing services, but Governor Andy Beshear said their top priority is to issue replacement licenses, permits, and identification cards to Kentuckians who lost them in the deadly tornado outbreak of December 10.
The popup licensing teams will be at Lake Barkley State Resort Park and Kenlake State Resort Park on Tuesday and at Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park next Wednesday.
The hours of operation will be from 8 to 4 with walk-in customers only. The state has waived the fee for replacing a lost license or ID.
This week, popup teams have been operating at Dawson Springs City Hall, Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park and at Hopkins County Central High School.
