A Cadiz man was assaulted with a shovel during an altercation on Oak Street in Hopkinsville Saturday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say the man got into a physical altercation with two other people and was struck in the head with a shovel causing minor injuries. Police have interviewed both suspects who claimed self-defense due to the victim’s actions.
No arrest has been made but the report lists the charge as second-degree assault.
