A Hopkinsville man was charged with kidnapping after he allegedly got into a woman’s vehicle on Lafayette Road Tuesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 28-year-old Dustin Gary got into a vehicle with a woman and her child and refused to get out then told her to take him to the corner house. She reportedly complied with his demands even though she did not understand the destination because her 4-year-old daughter was still in the back seat of the vehicle.
Police say Gary got out of the vehicle and walked away after the woman called for her boyfriend to meet up with her.
Gary was later arrested and charged with two counts of kidnapping. Gary has several prior charges of public intoxication, indecent exposure, theft, and possession of drugs.
