KY 139 In Trigg County Reopened After Tractor-Trailer Crash

 

Kentucky 139 at the intersection of Tyler Road in Trigg County has been reopened after a tractor-trailer carrying chicken overturned Tuesday morning.

Trigg County Emergency officials say the accident occurred in the overnight hours following a tractor-trailer fire on Interstate 24 near the 63-mile marker. The tractor-trailer driver ran off the road which caused the rig to turn over on it’s side.

The crash caused the road to be blocked for several hours as emergency personnel work to clear the roadway.

Emergency personnel say a wrecker has been called to remove the overturned truck. Traffic remains backed up on Kentucky 139 while the road remains closed. Drivers who plan to use Kentucky 139, the Princeton Road, need to take an alternate route until the roadway reopens later today.
