As the growing season continues, officials say it’s time to examine your hay.
Jay Stone, an Ag Extension Agent in Hopkins County, tells the News Edge hay tests are being completed now.
Stone says to get your crop sampled, contact your county ag extension office.
He adds having hay listed on the Kentucky Department of Agriculture’s website is very beneficial.
Stone says most of the hay quality he’s seen has been really good.
