Hopkinsville Man Charged In Second Shooting

 

A Hopkinsville man who was already in jail on charges from a shooting was served a warrant in connection to a second shooting Friday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say 21-year-old Jaylynn Cheatham was charged with three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment after he was involved in a shooting at an apartment complex on Greenville Road on January 24th.

Cheatham was already in jail on charges of first-degree assault and wanton endangerment in connection to a shooting at the Marathon gas station on East 9th Street at South Campbell Street.

Police say Cheatham shot 20-year-old Darrius Quarles of Hopkinsville and 38-year-old Byran Jones of Cadiz at the gas station on March 27th.
