Police have released the name of a Pembroke woman that was taken to the hospital after a wreck on East 7th Street in Hopkinsville Saturday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 27-year-old Tiffany Quarles was westbound when she ran off the road hitting a utility pole cutting off the power in the area.
Quarles reportedly attempted to flee in a friend’s vehicle but was stopped by police before leaving the area. Police say she had slurred speech and admitted to drinking several alcoholic beverages at a bar on Greenville Road before the crash.
She was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for what police say or non-life-threatening injuries.
Quarles was later charged with DUI and leaving the scene of an accident. The crash happened just before 3 am.
