Man Charged After Short Police Pursuit

A Hopkinsville man was arrested after he reportedly led police on a pursuit Sunday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say they were heading to a report of shots fired when a car driven by 20-year-old Tradelle Jones was seen passing cars at a high rate of speed in the area.

When police attempted to stop Jones he reportedly led them on a short pursuit before coming to a stop on Raymond Burse Court.

Shell casings were found at the intersection of Wildwood Drive and West 7th Street. No one was injured and no property damage was found.

Police say it’s unknown at this time if Jones was connected to the shots being fired.

Jones is charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police.
