A Hopkinsville man was charged after he was reportedly found with a stolen gun and drugs Monday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called to Bryan Street for a disturbance involving 26-year-old Jayontez Poindexter and during the investigation, he told them there was a gun inside his home.
Poindexter reportedly took officers to the stolen gun was and told them it was put in the home by someone else. Poindexter was found to have an active warrant for probation violation.
As he was being arrested police say he was found to have a bag of meth in his pocket. He is charged with possession of meth and receiving stolen property.
